Backup and Restore
Open source, enterprise-ready backup and restore for MongoDB and MySQL.
Percona Monitoring and Management includes backup and restore features that enable you to safely back up your critical data without downtime or performance issues. With these features, you can schedule different types of backups — such as hot, incremental, and physical — and restore your databases to a specific moment in time with Point-in-Time-Recovery. These features are currently fully available for MongoDB and in technical preview for MySQL.
Features overview
Diverse backup and restore types and frequency
For MySQL databases, you can create and restore on-demand and scheduled physical backups. For MongoDB, you can create and restore physical, logical, and point-in-time recovery (PITR) backups, both on-demand and scheduled.
Flexible backup storage locations
Backup functionality in PMM allows you to create and store your backup artifacts in several locations.
- Amazon S3-compatible storage: not only AWS S3 but also other storage solutions that support S3 API, like min.io.
- Local storage: currently only available for MongoDB backups
Alerting
Backup issues can be critical. PMM Alerting detects anomalies and notifies you when human intervention is needed. Percona Alerting supports 15+ notification channels to ensure quick alerts for your team.
