Percona Backup for MongoDB 1.6.1
On November 4, 2021, we released Percona Backup for MongoDB 1.6.1, a distributed, low-impact solution for consistent backups of MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets. This is a tool for creating consistent backups across a MongoDB sharded cluster (or a single replica set), and for restoring those backups to a specific point in time. Release highlights include improved backup and PITR routines alignment by using sequential delete-pitr/install-backup operations instead of in-memory backup intent, support for automated access to S3 buckets using an EC2 instance profile, and deprecated support for MongoDB 3.6.

ProxySQL 2.3.2 and proxysql-admin
As of November 3, 2021, ProxySQL 2.3.2, released by ProxySQL, is now available for download along with an updated version of Percona’s proxysql-admin tool. ProxySQL is a high-performance proxy, currently for MySQL, and database servers in the MySQL ecosystem (like Percona Server for MySQL and MariaDB). It acts as an intermediary for client requests seeking resources from the database. ProxySQL was created for DBAs as a means of solving complex replication topology issues.
