Thank you for checking MySQL 8.0.23.

Let me just add one comment related to CHANGE REPLICATION SOURCE TO, I do understand this can be annoying but that is nothing compare to how offensive those words can be for people suffering of them.
Also the old syntax is deprecated but not removed (yet and not too early either). This will allow the transition.
I really think (this is my own opinion) that a little bit of annoyance is affordable for such circumstances.
